
Benecia B. Moore

Mrs. Moore attended Boston University from 1996-2000 and graduated cum laude from the College of Communications with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science. She spent her first two years there in the College of General Studies where she was on the Deans’ List each semester and was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient for excellent academic performance. During 1997 and 1998, she served as a peer advisor. In 1998, she transferred to the College of Communications. During the 1998-99 school year, she served as Vice President of the Student Union. She attended the Boston University London Internship program in the summer of 1999 where she studied comparative British and American constitutional law. While at Boston University, she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Mrs. Moore received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2003. While there, she served as an associate editor for the Journal of International Economic Law from 2001-02 and as an Articles Editor from 2002-03. She was also an active member of the Black Law Students’ Association.
From September 2003 to August 2005, Mrs. Moore worked as a law clerk to the Hon. Petrese B. Tucker, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. From August 2005 to August 2006, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. Lavenski R. Smith, United States Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit.
